A 'very British' outdoor wedding

Back in June, we threw a party at our flagship store for a select bunch of brilliant local bloggers. One of the talented bloggers who attended was the lovely Naomi Gale. Naomi recently styled an amazing shoot for one of our favourite blogs, Bespoke Bride, for which she rallied together some of the local region's finest in all things wedding. Among them was little old us! Naomi asked us whether she could borrow one of our Scalloped Curve Necklaces and Scalloped Silver Bar bracelets for the shoot; of course we were happy to oblige, and think it finishes the bridal look perfectly.

The incredibly talented Lorie X provided the stunning ˜Lucie' gown, a dreamy mix of duchess silk and chiffon and reminiscent of the glamorous 1930s when Hollywood was in its heyday. Based in East London and only launched a year ago, Lorie X's creations are already stealing the spotlight as one of Britain's most exciting bridal creatives to emerge in a very long time.

But the best of British didn't just stop at the gown or the accessories. The shoot itself took place at the Sussex Flower Farm who specialise in bridal bouquets and flowers with a twist. Also providing the flowers on this occasion was Nell's Flowers, another Sussex-based small business who share Sussex Flower Farm's home-grown ethos. We wanted to create a shoot which celebrated all things British, says Naomi of the shoot on Bespoke Bride; We wanted to inspire people to think a little closer to home when it comes to sourcing suppliers and items.

Another awesome addition to the shoot were the spectacular Gin & Bear It! an ingenious mobile bar “ within a vintage Morris Minor! These guys certainly gave the tone of the shoot a splash of fun with vintage spin; what a great idea. Important things like gin cocktails aside, Naomi even paid attention to the finer details of wedding planning and got Merseyside based stationery expert, Nina Thomas, involved in the shoot. Her beautiful designs are carefully thought out from invitations to place names. We love how newlyweds can keep the look of their stationery design going from the moment the save the date card is sent out, right through until the last thank you note has been posted. Read more from Naomi at her awesome blog, Wedding Tattle a go-to for anyone thinking of, or in the throes of, planning a wedding.
