Now, another little treat for you! Our guest blogger Chelle McCann of The Mumington Post knows a thing or two when it comes to entertaining the little ones. Parenting blogger and Mother of two (and a bump), Chelle takes us through her list of favourite things to do in Brighton with the kids... During the summer there is so much going on in Brighton. From the start of Brighton Festival and Fringe to The Great Escape there really is a whole city full of vibrance until Mid September. I have to admit that I tend to head out of the city centre to find play spaces unless there is something really special going on.

The Level park has had a massive overhaul a few years ago and is now a really fabulous play space and skatepark with a great independent place, that specialises in bike repairs too.

Just around the corner is the Emporium which as well as having a lovely space to grab some shade with the kids runs theatre nights too.The Emporium theatre venue and cafe is a hit all year round

If you fancy a really quiet park day then head on over to East Brighton Park as it is often really quiet in the lovely playground and theres a little cafe where you can grab a cuppa or an ice cream too. It's on the edge of town near to The Marina.

Once you had a brunch or lunchtime picnic then you can head to The Marina on a Wednesday and take part in a free workshop from Same Sky or the Wyevale Garden Centre next to Brighton racecourse are running little digger classes. Creative make and take classes on a Wednesday at The Marina from the lovely community arts charity, Same Sky.

Why not support one of the smaller museums in the city like Hove and Booth museum? They often have themed weeks or months and both have a little cafe to grab a snack or cream tea.

I am also looking forward to the possible revamp of Saltdean Lido who have got funding with massive support and push from local residents for the reopening. It might not be central Brighton but it's a short trip on the bus and gives you a little bit of calm if you want to avoid the tourists on our own seafront!

The Booth Museum is all about birds, butterflies, fossils, and bones. And when it's wet outside but you all really need to get out then look for Red Jelly Art who run an amazing art group too http://www.redjellykids.co.uk or if you have a budding cook then Cookery Doodle Doo is for you! https://cookerydoodledoo.com

And finally The Patch “ hidden park that is in-between Elm Grove and Lewes Road and hosts a lovely community music festival in the summer! https://www.williamclarkepark.org

That's just a few of the things we are doing this summer, how about you? We look forward to seeing you again soon Chelle! Head over to Chelle's The Mumington Post and Unique & Chic blog to read more about her parenting panics and lifestyle lusts. And don't forget to subscribe to our blog and share the competition on Facebook to be in the running to win our bundle of 'make your own kits'!
