We knew our lovely retail assistants would have an uber stand-out 'sweet 16' collection, and experienced Visual Merchandiser Harriet is no exception! When she's not working from our Brighton stores you'll find her amongst her...
1. Bleach London Hair Dye I am addicted to dying my hair and don't think I've seen my natural colour since I was about 14! My current favorite are these BLEACH London awkward peach and rose colours. I don't use too much, just enough to give my hair a nice peachy glow.
2. Edie Sedgwick book This book has been read a thousand times, it's becoming quite tatty now! Edie is my idol; I adore her and could literally rant on forever about her. I've been obsessed with her since I was about 15 and is the reason I've kept my hair in a pixie cut ever since.
3. Replica Edie Sedgwick earrings I treasure these earrings as there a replica of the earrings that Edie actually wore. I don't wear them very often, as they are very big they literally sit on my shoulders, I wear them more as a statement piece for special occasions.
4. Vintage striped dress I love stripey clothes I have to stop myself every time I go shopping; I just head straight to the stripes! I think I own close to 15 Breton tops now! This dress is late 1960s early '70s, I bought it on eBay from a great seller who has some of the best quality vintage clothes I've ever seen. Everything I've bought from her so far has been striped!
5. Instax camera This is my new baby (Mainly because I broke my first one after 2 weeks!) I take it everywhere. I use to take so many photos on my phone and never do anything with them, its nice to physically have something when you do take a photo.
6. Polaroids These two pictures were taken on New Years 4 years ago, me and my boyfriend got together that Christmas, so these were the first pictures of us as a couple. We both keep one each in our wallets (I've stolen his for today). Mine has the Mr Bump sticker; I think I was trying to be funny or something, to remind myself of my sore head after New Year!
7. PTD scalloped bangles These are my favourite PTD piece. The first time I saw them I knew I needed them. The scalloped edge combined with the rose and yellow gold is so adorable, exactly my style.
8. Ghost This little ghost is from a great shop in Brighton called Dowse. I love how it's handmade and is based on the Shinto belief that everything has a spirit. My boyfriend bought it for me as a gift; he likes to poke fun at how I tend to watch too much trash TV on ghost stories.
9. Nobukos ring My Aunt is Japanese and it is tradition to give a personal gift of jewellery when you join a family. The little gold ring she gave me is adorable, it has a tiny bow design on the top, it's slightly bent out of shape from being worn on a chain for years as it is teeny tiny. It's a lovely reminder of my family living so far away.
10. Vintage sewing spools I collect vintage sewing materials: old sewing machines, scissors, over-sized sewing spools I use the big sewing spools as book ends but mostly I have them dotted around my house as a little reminder of my love for making clothes.
11. When I saw this giant safety pin in store I knew it would go perfectly in my collection. It sits nicely on top of an old singer machine I have.
12. Flower necklace My mum bought me this for my 13th birthday. I wear it everyday and literally feel lost without it. The scissor charm is a new addition, my best friend found them for me as a surprise as he knew it would fit with my obsession for sewing materials. They're so cute and you can actually use them.
13. Notebook If you can't tell, I love stickers. My boyfriend says I have idle hands and can't sit still without doing something, so this notebook lives with me at all times. I bought it the week I moved to Brighton, so its fun to look back through it and find all the random scribbles and notes I've jotted down. It's also got every address I've ever lived in written in the front and crossed out again once I've moved in fear of loosing it.
14. Pencil case/ make up bag My pencil case/ make up bag/ medicine cabinet. It's the perfect size to fit everything in, it looks small but you would be surprised. I love the simplicity of the pencil design on the front.
15. Wildfox jumper My downfall is Wildfox, I spend way to much money on their clothes. This is my favorite Wildfox piece that I own; when I saw it I knew I had to have it. Brighton has been my home now for the past 6 years, so what better than combine two of my favourite things. However, I do sometimes feel a little like a tourist when I wear it through town!
16. Wildfox sunglasses I've only since recently been wearing glasses, so I thought if I'm going to have to wear them all the time - I may as well treat myself and get some that I love! I can never find any glasses that suit me, so I bought these as sunglasses and had the lenses replaced.
