Mr Wolfe
If there's one thing you can depend on in Australia's Melbourne, it's their pioneering coffee culture. Blend this culture with a Melbourne design-duo and you have Mr Wolfe's! This minimalist, yet cosy cafe is on leafy Montpelier Road and serves Monmouth coffee, Antipodean sweet tooth favourites; including lamingtons and yoyo biscuits, plus delicious cakes. Although cosy, this place can pack in a great audience for live music, be it a quieter acoustic session or five piece band. Mr Wolfe is a must for people and pooches in the area. 15 Montpelier Place, BN1 3BF.
Nowhere man
This is a firm favourite amongst our Admin 'Power House', with many of us living near this comfy café. Take it from us, it really is worth going out of the way for. Off the hurly burly of Western Rd and just around the corner from the main High St shops, this little café serves the most delicious coffee and even the decaf gets a big thumbs up. If you're partial to a terrarium or two, retro furniture, great music and want to get your head stuck into a book or magazine or rehearse with the band, this is the place for you. 53 Upper North Street, BN1. Sunbirds Deli
Posh Totty Designs staff can be spotted here at Sunbirds Deli several times a week, particularly for their mezze boxes and nutritious power/energy balls. We've even had a go at making our own, but we have to say their's are amazing! The food is natural and healthy with calming seating spaces to take in all the goodness. There is some outdoor seating at the foot of the recently developed Brighton Open Market. So whether for lunch or coffee and cake, Sunbirds are well worth a peck. 108 London Road, BN1 4JG.
