ATLG #10 Wedding Season

After a chicken-themed hen party on a very hot day earlier in the month (read more in last week's Alice Through the Looking Glass') we emerged like swans to Henny Swans (see what I did there) stunning sartorial wedding. It was everything a wedding should be with so much thought and love poured into it. The bride was walked down the aisle by her daughter who both looked a million dollars, and after the ceremony, there wasn't a dry eye in the house. There is nothing like a love story to warm your cockles.

We were then whisked away on a vintage red double-decker bus where we enjoyed fizz and canapes whilst driving around the sunny South Downs. It was a fabulous surprise.

We then went to the reception at the latest seafront restaurant- The Seahorse. There was great service with fantastic food, and the location is unbeatable with sea views in both directions and the nearby West Pier. As the sun went down the bride gave an incredibly moving speech and my son even got up to say a few words about pancakes (you had to be there), which at 13 is super brave. He nailed it and I was bursting with pride.

I then got into full party mode by dancing, mingling, and drinking and had the best time, but the next day's hangover was one I don't ever want to repeat. EVER.

I am off to LA next month for another wedding. Any ideas on what to wear for a laid-back California wedding on Stinson Beach?

I'm very excited to be heading back to my home turf as my father lived in Sausalito, California when I was growing up and I'd get to spend every summer there camping and adventuring around San Francisco and LA. I haven't been back for 25 years and can't wait to show my kids. We are also tying it in nicely with our new pop-up shop in Wolf and Badger in LA so I'll send you some pics, alongside me sunbathing on Venice Beach!

Are you having a wedding, or have you been invited to one? Either way, please do visit our beautiful Wedding Shop.
